October 2024 Product Updates

It's been a busy month at SeekOut across a variety of product areas. For Outreach, we've heard a lot of great feedback from you all on some of core flows in setting up and executing working campaigns and managing templates, and we have greatly simplified that flow. We've also added some core functionality to our Applicant Review product to help recruiters review inbound applicants even faster and more efficiently.

Candidate Outreach campaign and template updates

This set of improvements are to make core flows for sourcers and recruiters simpler. Finding and reaching out to candidates is a core part of any recruiting function. We have heard feedback from you on how we can make those core flows simpler and more intuitive and put that feedback into action.

New flow to start a campaign

We have added more prominent placement of key functions like creating a campaign sequence making it more intuitive to know where and how to start a campaign.

Manage and Edit Templates

We have now made some changes making it clear whether a recruiter is editing an email template versus a sequence template, and brought clarity to the UX for editing either an email or a template

Simplifying our e-mail editor

We have added icons and tooltips within the e-mail editor, moving all ways to edit an e-mail to the same location

Applicant Review UX improvements

Our recent focus on applicant review has been improving the user experience in applicant review, and making it easier for recruiters to quickly gather important context to make the most informed decisions while carefully considering all applications. The below updates are applicable to all SeekOut customers using Greenhouse as their ATS, and will expand to other platforms in the near future.

Referrals

Many Recruiting Processes aim to provide a differentiated experience for Referral Candidates – and most ATS/CRM systems make it easy for Recruiters to identify and work with Referrals.

Understanding if an application is a Referral is an integral part of the Application Review process, and needs to be possible in AR to avoid users defaulting back to their ATS.

Multiple applications from a single candidate

Knowing whether a candidate is applying to multiple jobs at your company is a key piece of information for a recruiter. Without this information, a recruiter may inadvertently harm the candidate experience via rejecting a candidate that’s in the interview process for another role.

In applicant review, we have added the ability to filter based on active applications, recent applications, and recently rejected applications. Recruiters now can easily identify profiles with multiple applications, and see visual indicators of recently rejected applications.

Custom application questions

Companies often have specific and unique for applicants such as "what city are you available to work in?" that are critical to qualifying a candidate for an open role. We have added in custom application questions to our filters, so if a candidate does not answer, or provides an out of scope answer, those profiles will be filtered out of your pool.

New Power Filters for critical facilities

Every recruiter searches and refines search in different ways. One of the most common ways that SeekOut users refine searches following the initial search is by Power Filters. One area where customers have been asking for more precise filters relates to critical facilities…places like data centers, hospitals, or power plants that are open 24/7.

New power filters in SeekOut enable recruiters to search for candidates that work at Data Center Providers, Health Systems, and Power Plants to add precision to these critical searches. These are included in all SeekOut plans.
